About this program
The MED DIRECT Program works in partnership with FAU’s College of Medicine and creates special opportunities for undergraduates who demonstrate a strong interest in medicine, a high level of academic ability, a passion for service and commitment to volunteerism.
The Wilkes Medical Scholars Program is a highly selective, early admission program into The Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine for students who have a strong desire to pursue a career in medicine. Students select from twenty-seven academic concentrations and receive either a B.A. or a B.S. in Liberal Arts and Sciences, from the Wilkes Honors College in Jupiter and the M.D. degree from FAU’s College of Medicine in Boca Raton in seven or eight years.
This partnership with FAMU is an 8-year Bachelor of Science-Medical Doctor dual-degree program for outstanding high school seniors who have made an early and informed decision to become a physician.
