About this program
BU offers high-ability freshman applicants a faster route to a career in medicine. If admitted into the Seven-Year Liberal Arts / Medical Education Program, you can complete both a bachelor’s degree and a medical degree in seven years instead of the usual eight. You will receive a Bachelor of Arts in Medical Science from the College of Arts & Sciences with a Doctor of Medicine from the Boston University School of Medicine. Qualified applicants include students who are completing four full academic years of secondary education and who are currently high school seniors, or students who have completed high school but have not enrolled in any college-level, degree-granting program.
