Place an Order: Work with Dr. Freedman
Dr. Jessica Freedman works with clients comprehensively to offer the best guidance. Dr. Freedman has served as both a medical school and residency admissions officer at The Mount Sinai School of Medicine and has been privately advising students since 2008. Her biography was recently selected for inclusion in the 2011 edition of Marquis Who’s Who in America. She provides admissions and career advising and interview preparation for premedical students and applicants to medical school, residency, fellowship, and post baccalaureate programs. If you are interested in working with Dr. Freedman, please contact MedEdits. After speaking with MedEdits, submit payment at the bottom of this page.
MedEdits' comprehensive advising includes*:
- 1. An in-depth evaluation of each client’s achievements and motivations. This detailed analysis allows Dr. Freedman to offer clients personally tailored advice that will help distinguish them from other applicants..
- 2. Candidacy enhancement suggestions, including course/elective selection, extracurricular activities, research and clinical experiences.
- 3. Brainstorming of personal statement and application entry topics.
- 4. Letter of reference suggestions.
- 5. Document editing of all application documents, including personal statements, application entries, secondary essays, letters of intent and any other written application materials. All documents submitted are reviewed by Dr. Freedman and by MedEdits’ chief editor. This “double read” offers a distinct advantage over the single review offered by competitors. We offer detailed editing using “track changes” and inserted comments.
- 6. School or program selection.
- 7. Interview preparation and mock interviews.
- 8. Guidance on communicating with schools and programs.
- 9. General advising about anything related to the admissions process including when to take standardized exams.
- 10. Dr. Freedman works on retainer, and clients can work on anything related to the process using the allotted amount of time purchased. Communications take place via phone, email, Skype or iChat.
Our advising model allows for client flexibility, which benefits the student since some aspects of the application process might require more “time” than others. For example, one applicant’s essay rough draft might be excellent while another client’s might require multiple revisions. Still another client might need to spend extra time on interview preparation. All guidance is individualized depending on the needs of each client.
Dr. Freedman works with a limited number of students each year, and we encourage prospective clients to retain services early.
*The only a la carte service we offer are mock interviews and interview preparation.
